What we think about we bring about...

Have you ever been thinking about someone you may have not seen or heard from in quite some time, when all of a sudden out of the blue they simply show up in your life? All may occur over the phone, in an email, or they may actually arrive at your front door. Many times I'll catch myself thinking about a particular song, and bam, that same song will be playing wherever I happen to be at the time; driving, eating in a restaurant, or wherever. People, music, movies, events, you name it, and it happens. I don't possess, to my knowledge, any unique insight, yet like most I do from time to time have these experiences. The important point here is this: thoughts, when focused transcend into powerful waves of energy, which can and will have affect on your immediate environment.

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think about we become". - Buddha

So if what we think about we bring about, why then would anyone deliberately choose to think negative?

Negative people come across as being sad, angry, resentful, almost toxic, and resonate at a low level of energy. Positive people on the other hand appear to be in control of their lives, outgoing, loving, energetic and full of vibrancy. I don't know about you, but I elect to be part of the 2nd group, so much so that I have a tendency to shy away from the negative thinkers. This stands true for me whether it be family members and/or friends alike. I love them, however I find myself spending less and less time with those who come across as being negative..

Positive or Negative... it's all a choice. "First we make our choices, then our choices make us." - Andy Andrews

Grab a burger or go for the healthy salad, visit the relatives again or go on the Caribbean Cruise, accept the job offer or reclaim my life as a successful entrepreneur.

"As a man thinketh, so is he. As a man chooseth, so is he". - The Bible

I think that pretty well says it all. Life is a choice, therefore choose well!!

Law of Least Effort

From my perspective this could also be known as the Law of Least Resistance. The biggest breakthroughs I've experienced to date have come about as the result of my having applied this one principle to my life.

Nature's intelligence functions with effortless ease...with carefreeness, harmony and love. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.
- Deepak Chopra

Learn to be still, get quite and observe Nature in all it's splendor... If it's been a while since you communed with Nature, truly experienced a sunset, or listened as waves gently roll up and on a shoreline, you're in for a treat. We live in an incredible universe, where abundance is everywhere. In order to create that WIN we all want for our lives, you simply must;

1. Get clear on what it is you want
2. Realize, abundance exist in all areas of the universe
3. Be grateful for the blessings you've received
4. Give back, assist others on their path.

Creating your life as an effortless, free-flowing experience, will allow opportunities to arrive that otherwise would never have surfaced in your life.

Enjoy the moment and be kind to one-another.

Change is Gonna Come...

As Believers;

We recognize ourselves as a child of God. That said, you and I have been given talents and skills that are unique to us and us only. You see each of us has been crafted as the person God intended us to be. Therefore I am not an accident, and neither are you. You and I are the way we are because that's the way God intended us to be. When you or I were born, to whom, and perhaps where we were born were all determined long before our birth, by God. Our given height, weight, hair, eyes, skin, and much of of the behavioral traits we walk with, were all selected prior to our birth.

Our entire lives in fact, were predetermined with specific purposes, His purposes. As well each of us has been given a set number of days in this life in which to complete His purposes. How great is that! Once I surrender my life to our Lord Jesus Christ, years of unwanted stress and frustration seemed to dissipate.

When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us:
  • Love
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Patience
  • Kindness
  • Goodness
  • Faithfulness
  • Gentleness
  • Self-Control

A beautiful description of Jesus Christ. And to have the fruit of the Spirit is to be like Christ, in so much as we are developing Christlike characteristics.

Turn worry to prayer, prayer to trust, and you too will be on your way to living a glorious, more fulfilling life. Did I say problem free, I don't think so. When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience...

God is always with us, he knows what's in our heart. He knows when you and I are hurting, or overrun with joy. As a side note, God won't care how much money we had in the bank, or what title we walked with, or the position(s) we may have held while on earth. He will however judge us on our character; were we kind to others, were we persons of integrity, did we receive His son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, and do so with honor and respect.

May God Bless You.

Cultivating Your Passion

Passion is what drives us, it's that deep seeded vision we hold for what it is we want out of life. Passion for you may involve moving into that new home, driving the new car, or your ability to travel to distant lands and experience other cultures.

Material things are great, there's certainly nothing wrong with acquiring lots of great stuff. However the passion I hold involves more, it's about creating that special feeling.
Ex: Alone with my thoughts, becoming one with nature , and joined by my beautiful wife Lauren, enjoying a glorious sunset over some spectacular beach.
Ex: Together having completed an incredible run down Black Comb Mountain, over two feet of fresh, white powder.
Ex: Being the Leader; assisting people all around the world improve the quality of their lives.

Henry David Thoreau described it this way - "If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
Don't you just love Thoreau's simplistic and yet right on observation!

I don't think there is a right or wrong as it relates to our cultivating passion. The lesson here if any, is that you have passion - to something or someone. And that you focus on such like a laser beam. You see a child who wants to ride that red bicycle, hit the home run out of the park, or dance on stage before a large audience, doesn't have to be reminded to focus on their passion. They don't require a given book or coach for motivation towards such. He/she burns with passion towards achieving the goal they've created. You and I could learn from this type of mindset.

As we all know, life is short, therefore live each day, every moment as the gift that it is, and do so with passion, you deserve nothing less...
